I dati disponibili in letteratura, nella maggior parte dei casi, si riferiscono a campioni particolari, ossia individui ospedalizzati.
Questi individui mostrano, in partenza, sintomi più gravi di quelli riportati potenzialmente da una popolazione randomica. Pertanto il
sistema deve tenere in conto il processo di selezione distorsiva.
I dati disponibili in letteratura si riferiscono generalmente a singole variabili legate al covid-19. Non esiste un database sufficientemente
ampio su cui allenare il modello. Pertanto non è stato possibile ricorrere a sistemi classici di studio di correlazione, ma si è dovuto proce
dere combinando le varie fonti.
Un team di medici del Centro Medico Santagostino ha testato lo scoring model allo scopo di validarlo. Ovviamente, mano a mano che il modello
verrà utilizzato da utenti reali, sarà possibile arricchire i dati e aumentare la precisione della stima.
